We are currently without an appointed parish priest and are running as a lay-led parish. We welcome several interim priests on a rotating basis who offer their unique voices to our Eucharist services. This means that at our Pender Island church half our services are led by interim clergy and the other half are lay-led. At our Saturna church we have one service a month led by an interim priest, and a variety of lay-led services the remainder of the time.
The Parish Council is elected by parish members and includes volunteer representatives from both islands. It is in charge of running the parish, making decisions about what the parish does or spends money on, and dealing with any problems that arise in the parish. It includes the Parish Treasurer, Synod Delegates, and the Parish Rector, as well as a number of At Large members. In our parish, the position of Warden is held jointly by all parish council members.
This picture shows all Parish Council members but one as of February 2026.
